The Frink Family
Growing up, Patrick Frink was raised mainly by his father and older brother, Eric. His mother Adele died shortly after young Patrick was born, while his older brother Jeb was killed in Italy during the infamous “Operation Shingle” battle in 1945, the year before Mr. Frink was born. In 1980, when Mr. Frink moved his young family to Ritzville, his father and brother, Eric (and Eric’s family), stayed behind in Borger, where Eric and his wife Daphne still live today. The senior Mr. Frink passed away in 1990.
Once in Ritzville, the Frink family quickly put down roots (both literally and figuratively!) in the garden community, and settled into life in the Pacific Northwest. Today, Mr. Frink and his lovely wife, Velma still reside in the same home they purchased in Ritzville in 1980. And though the Frink children have all grown up, most of them still live within 25 miles of the Frink Family farm. The Frink’s had four sons, and two daughters- Jeb, Christopher, Alan, Patrick Jr., Ella, and Whitney (who are twins). Christopher and Patrick Jr. currently work for their father at Frink Fertilizers, while Jeb is an anesthesiologist in Seattle, and Alan is a home inspector in nearby Ephrata, WA. Mr. Frink’s two daughters also live close by, where Whitney is a stay at home mother, and Ella attends graduate school in nearby Spokane.
Between his six children, Mr. and Mrs. Frink have been blessed with fifteen grandchildren, all of whom are under the age of 14! Amongst the 15 of them there are two sets of twins (all children of Patrick Jr. and his wife Mary Beth) with nine girls and six boys. Mr. Frink enjoys nothing more than spending his free time with his grandkids- teaching them about gardening, nature, and animals and taking the children fishing at Cow Lake.
Among the Frink’s favorite times of the year (besides the summer gardening season) is Christmas, and Mrs. Frink sure knows how to celebrate Christmas right! An English major, Mrs. Frink has always had a love of writing, and has written a family “Christmas Letter” every year since the family moved to Ritzville. Here are some of the highlights, which truly show you what a Frink family Christmas is all about.
